Find the simulated connection
In Supercharts, open Trade, choose Paper Trading and then Connect. Check the connection name before opening the ticket. The exercise uses virtual funds. If the connection shows a broker’s name, stop here and work through the example on paper.
Give the order a testable condition
Imagine an ask of 1.1002 for EUR/USD. In a simulated buy ticket, note the quantity and set a limit of 1.0990. Write down what must happen before it can fill. Seeing your limit drawn on the chart does not tell you that anyone filled it.
Check the record before changing the order
Use Orders for the open request and History for its final status. If it is still waiting, cancel the simulated request and check the cancellation in History. Record the time, requested price, status and fill price only if filled. This documentation-based walkthrough does not measure a broker’s speed or slippage.
